Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026. By purchasing or submitting an intake form, you agree to the terms below.

1. The service

I run Hot Mess Dot Gov ("I," "me"), creating custom, AI-generated puppet parody videos made to order, based on reference material supplied by the customer ("you"). These videos are AI-generated content intended for entertainment and parody purposes.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete information in your order brief, including clearly labeled reference photos, video, or audio, and a clear breakdown of which puppet says which lines. You confirm that you have the rights or necessary permission to use every photo, video, and audio clip you provide, and you take full responsibility for any copyright or rights claims related to that material.

3. Delivery timeline

Turnaround estimates are provided per tier on the Pricing page but are not guaranteed delivery dates; complex briefs may take longer. I may decline or delay an order that falls outside my Content Guidelines or that requires clarification before production can start.

4. Refund policy

Submitting your intake brief is the point at which production begins. Before you submit your brief, you may cancel your order for a full refund by emailing me. Once your brief is submitted, all sales are final and I do not offer refunds or free revisions. The sole exception is a clear technical failure on my end, for example, a corrupted export or delivery of the wrong file, in which case I will correct the delivery or issue a refund at my discretion.

5. License granted to you

Once delivered, your finished video is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use, unless I've agreed to something different in writing. You may not resell, sublicense, or use the video for commercial purposes without my written consent.

6. My right to refuse or cancel

I reserve the right to decline, cancel, or refuse to complete any order, including for content outside my Content Guidelines, or content I am not comfortable producing, at my sole discretion.

7. Limitation of liability

I am not liable for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from the photos, video, audio, likenesses, or other material you provide, including claims by third parties depicted in that material. To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or submission of an order after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
